Bundaberg Foundry Capabilities
Moulding and CastingBundaberg Foundry has three electric induction furnaces, the largest is capable of melting 15 tonne of metal. These are supported by a modern laboratory equipped with the latest spectrometer and analytical equipment to ensure composition accuracy. This gives Bundaberg Foundry the ability to produce a wide range of irons and steels. Brass bearings for the sugar industry are cast and machined at Bundaberg Foundry, are designed for strength and have a proven track record of reliable performance in the most arduous of conditions. The latest moulding technology is employed to ensure quick accurate moulds are produced at cost effective rates. Computer generated solidification models are used to achieve optimal mould design ensuring a high and consistent standard of quality. Bundaberg Foundry has a fully equipped and staffed pattern shop where patterns are produced to customer or Bundaberg Foundry drawings. Customer supplied patterns can also be used in our flexible moulding centre. Our qualified metallurgical department is at your disposal to advise on all casting and material requirements. |
