Bundaberg Foundry Capabilities
Machining Bundaberg Foundry has a fully equipped machine shop with turning and milling machines covering all general engineering requirements. We are equipped with a Craven centre lathe which can swing 2000mm (78") over the saddle and 8000mm (26') between centres, this lathe regularly machines sugar mill rollers in excess of 40 tonnes. Bundaberg Foundry has a CNC capability with a Mazak CNC machining centre, that is suitable for high repetitive work such as sugar mill brass bearings and shredder discs. Bundaberg Foundry has an established rotational balancing facility to service the sugar, metal refining, petroleum and power generating industries. This facility is equipped with the IRD Mechananalysis model B150/290T balancing system to service steam turbines, pump rotors, fans, centrifugal baskets and a host of rotational mechanical equipment.
