The engineering team has been designing and manufacturing such equipment for the local and international sugar industry for many years. Bundaberg Foundry manufactures up to 5000m2 evaporators (effets) for the Australian Sugar Industry. If the vessel is too large for transport, the components are shipped in sections and the final assembly is performed on site by our highly experienced and efficient site teams. Bundaberg Foundry also has a wealth of experience in the production of batch and SRI continuous vacuum pans, with or without stirrers, that can be constructed from steel or the full range of corrosion resistant stainless steels. We recently manufactured the largest continuous 'A' pan in the industry installed at Tully Mill in 1998. All types of receivers are produced, including A & B, low and high grade seed, magma and massecuite receivers. These can be vertical or horizontal and Bundaberg Foundry can supply the vessel complete, including stirrers, drives and gearing. Bundaberg Foundry specialises in the supply of it's unique "Burnett Coil" (BC) horizontal crystalliser. The BC crystalliser cooling element has a proven track record in the Australian Industry. The BC element can be supplied as a component of new crystallisers or can be furnished for retro fit into existing "U" shaped vessels. The results of the BC element are comparable to the performance achieved with the latest vertical installations, but at a fraction of the cost. Barometric rain tray type condensers are produced at Bundaberg Foundry, in a full range of sizes. Mild steel is standard however 3CR12 and stainless steel are also utilised and are becoming a preferred option in today's cost conscious industry. Trayless clarifiers, non fin-tube massecuite re-heaters, juice heaters and mud filters are manufactured at Bundaberg Foundry to customer specifications. Pressure vessels such as boiler drums are made to Australian and International Standards. Bundaberg Foundry has extensive experience in all types of vessel construction. This experience enables us to design and customise a vessel that minimises transport and installation costs, without sacrificing product performance.
